Testimonial
Q: We’ve gone through this whole email exchange about some risks that I had taken with marketing and employees that turned out to be unprofitable. I wanted to ask a question that was along the lines of some of the other ones as far as what you do to recover from that because there were hits of about $12,000 a month that I felt like there was zero return on. In terms of marketing my practice I’m just looking for some answers to not end up in that situation again as well as the embarrassment from trying that and failing.
A: You’re asking two different questions and I’ll answer both. One question is how do I recover? And the other question is how do I avoid letting this happen again in the future? And I think we solved the embarrassment part because you kind of hid out from us for a few weeks and then you resurfaced and here you are. So the embarrassment, who is it that you’re embarrassed about finding out.
Q: Everyone who has seen me do well or perceive me doing well and the chance that that could be farce would be it.
A: Because you got a little bit of self esteem, maybe, from what they thought of you? If you didn’t care what they thought of you then you wouldn’t care what they think of you. You know who has a problem about what other people will think? Your clients. The way that you stop needing self-esteem from other people is by giving self-esteem to other people.
