Q: I have two beliefs that I think are conflicting and I think that’s the reason that’s holding me back. I believe we have a limited amount of resources whether it’s time or money, and we have to prioritize things to one area or the other.
A: I can tell from your question that you haven’t really done the work to think this through because the fact of the matter is you do have a limited amount of time. You have the 168 hours in a week that everyone else does. You don’t have a limited amount of money, but you lump these two things together. You believe that if you have a limited amount of time you must have a limited amount of money. They’re two different things. So the question is what are you going to do with that time? Are you going to do things that are high value or things that are low value? You have a hard choosing to do things that are high value and letting go of things that are low value because you believe you can do it all. You can’t do it all.
