The best part of this policies and procedures work shop has been giving us a basis on which to grow John’s practice. There are many components which we didn’t have in place and have kind of created a little of chaos in the firm so we figured coming to this policies and procedures seminar was going to help us get on track. I imagine some people would make excuses that they don’t need policies and procedures, namely lawyers out there in small firms, that they’re too busy and that they’ve kind of got their own procedure going on without having to write it down but I think it’s always good to keep looking back at what you need to be doing and refocus. And I think policies and procedures keeps you focused on a daily basis. I’m glad I didn’t let this stop me from coming as far as being concerned because when you want to look at the big picture of your practice I think you have to look at every component and this is a huge huge piece of your practice.
