Q: When I started I ordered a package from the Florida bar that contained policies and procedures. I never looked at it, never read it. I’m a new member; I don’t think I’m ready for the policies and procedures workshop. I think that maybe I should start with the thing the Florida bar provided as some kind of basis and then go in from there?
A: I joined July of last year. I did the policies and procedures workshop in September. I signed up at the first LQM I was at.
A: You will work on a lot of policies and procedures in your twelve-week crash course. If you play all in, you’ll get better results than if you don’t play all in. This is not unique to How to Manage a Small Law Firm; this is life. Everyone who plays all in in the twelve-week crash course gets great results. We have a number of people who don’t play all in in the twelve-week crash course and for a variety of reasons they go through the twelve-week crash course a second time realizing they missed the value in all of this. There’s nothing in the policies and procedures workshop that you’re going to learn that you’re not going to learn elsewhere through out the program. Everything you’re going to get in the policies and procedures workshop, you’re going to get through out the program anyway. The issue is, do you want to get it done in four days, or do you want to get it done in eighteen months?
