I first started the program a year ago, exactly, in January of 2014. I was so scared because people were talking about all these acronyms and words that I really didn’t understand: ROI, net, gross. In 2012, I was working as a hostess at a restaurant making $12 an hour and really happy that I made $100 that day. In 2013, I decided to start my practice but was still working in a restaurant. I wasn’t sure how much money I was bringing in because I didn’t know my numbers. I ended up getting fired from the restaurant and really had to start my practice and really had to look at my numbers. I decided to look at my numbers and really figure out what they are at and at some point it clicked. In 2014, I did it. I hit almost $500,000. The point I’m trying to make is that it sucks knowing your numbers for somebody who thinks they’re not good with numbers or didn’t learn how to manage their money, because they didn’t teach you this in law school. Now, I love my numbers. I love feeling in control.
