First, I hired a bookkeeper but this is the point. I said “I can do this myself” which took me so long to hire a bookkeeper. It’s taken the bookkeeper, even though I’ve used QuickBooks for years, over a month just to get it straightened out. So I’ve deluded myself into thinking I could do that. I finally have reports, I now have metrics, I can use them to plan growth, revise the budget, do other things. So don’t wait, just hire the damn bookkeeper. The second thing that I did was I had to try a federal mortage fraud case and it was pretty complicated case. I let my associate prepare the entire case for trial, I let go. That was huge because I’ve never let go and that was just trusting people. So hearing everything we’ve been talking about today if you put your staff in the right position they can free you.
