I think the best part about learning to have written procedures was in the past we had some written procedures for the difficult things but we didn’t have procedures that tied everything together and I had staff who would constantly forget what they were supposed to do or would just not follow the verbal procedures or just had lots of questions. Now that the procedures are written down it was much easier to gauge what my assistant was doing and to find out that she was incapable of doing a lot of the things I was asking her to do on a regular basis. Since then I’ve been searching for someone who met the criteria I needed and that has been extremely beneficial.
