I learned that my legal services are really not the most important thing in the conversation and that I shouldn’t let them get in the way of what it is I’m really there to do, which is to figure why the client is there in front of me today. What brought them there today. What their issues are right now and also trying to ask them question to see if they’re issues or concerns that they’re not aware of and to keep that in mind for myself so that I can help to relate back to them. So that when I come up with a solution for them its customized to really what I’ve learned from just listening so that I don’t have to assume what their real problem is.
