I attended a CLE in Oklahoma City in December of 2014. I loved it. I got a tremendous amount out of it, as did my closest colleague in the law business. The day afterwards we got an email, as did everybody else that attended, asking why did half of you hate him? My buddy and I responded and had a long discussion with the CLE director explaining to her that the people that hated it were upset because he was challenging their comfort zones, challenging their assumptions in life and really trying to help them get out of the rut that they were in. These are the lawyers who are there living miserable existences, making 30, 40, 50 thousand dollars a year and he shook it up. That’s what he intended to do and for those that listened it was tremendously useful.
