I guess I’m the only one from the UK here and I’ve been asked a lot of times why, why come 5,500 miles? I ask myself that too. And all I can say is that, boy it’s worth it. I’ve been a member for 3 months and it’s my first LQM. I came because I wanted to be surrounded by the people that I’ve seen on the forum, I’ve listened to, I want to put some faces to those names to get some engagement, to share that experience with other people and to get some clarity on what I want and what I can do, what’s in my control. And what I’ve learnt is lots and lots of things. And probably most importantly it’s affirmed to me that it’s okay being comfortable being uncomfortable because it’s a scary place running your own firm. I want to grow it pretty aggressively, and I know the journey is going to be quite a bumpy ride but I feel as though there is a group here that will share that journey with me. I’d encourage anyone who thinks 1000 miles is too far to think about me. I’d like to say to people anywhere in the world, distance really is no objective.
