Q: I’ve been working on my marketing like crazy and my law firm is taking off. I’m a new member in the B7 plus program and I’m afraid it’s all going to go away tomorrow. I want to be working on the kind of things that will continue to help my firm grow, have the right metrics in place, have the right people and be able to take a vacation.
A: Number one is pay attention to your metrics. Every day look at your numbers. Yesterday I gave the advice not to look at your numbers everyday because it will drive you crazy, but in your case maybe you need to look at numbers everyday to reassure yourself that this is real and reassure yourself that this is happening. The second thing is become very active on the membership discussion forum. When you’ve got doubts, when you’ve got fears, when you’ve got insecurities, even when you have something wonderful to celebrate, get on there and share it. Dozens of other people respond and say, _That’s my experience also._ I think your fears will go away or at least they’ll be controlled for a while. The third thing is show up for all of your scheduled meetings with your assigned managing partner, with your assigned chief operating officer, with your chief financial officer, show up for the crash course calls in the beginning. Throw yourself into the work and if you keep yourself busy with doing the work you won’t leave a lot of room for fear.
