Testimonial
Q: I’ve had my own law firm for about 15 years. I’ve run into problems with hiring people and even worse problems with firing them and doing some of the things that I know will come up like SKUs. Trying to value the work so there’s more profit. I’m just concerned there’s going to be a lot of stuff to do that I really don’t like to do and I put off doing for years. I hope I’ll get some help on sequencing it and stuff like that.
A: Valuing the work? Valuing the work and SKUs are not the same thing. The SKU homework is figuring out the cost of delivering the work. Your cost of delivering the work has nothing to do with valuing the work. The cost of the work is a function of you. The value of the work is a function of the client. And yes, there will be a lot of stuff you don’t like to do that you have been putting off for years. Let me tell you if I had a magic pill that could relieve you of the responsibility of having to do a bunch of stuff you don’t like to do, I would have already taken it myself.
