Q: What was the decision like because you really struggled with the decision to be who you wanted to be. It wasn’t about the money for you. I know that.
A: It was a tough decision. I joined in October of 2013 and when I was in the introductory meeting I was on board until I heard the price. I didn’t know if I physically had enough money to commit to that for even one month. It was really tough but I made the decision and there were a series of other decisions. In December I did the first business planning workshop. I signed up for that and Kristen David held my feet to the fire to follow the business plan. At the business planning workshop I had a distinct moment that I’ll probably never forget. I was presenting my plan and I remember at some point you looked at me and said, _Do you want a seven million dollar law firm?_ Something happened, I made a decision at that second. It was a really defined moment and it caused a physical reaction, my knees went weak. I knew it was possible at that moment and that I would do it.
