Q: My question is if we recognize a terror barrier in one of our employees. How do we confront that terror barrier and help them through it?
A: If they are in that place and they are not doing something for themselves, you have nothing to do there. It is their choice.
A: Maybe the employee just doesn’t want to change and you just have to let them not change. If they don’t want to change and that means they can’t keep up with your firm, because your firm is changing and growing, then maybe you just have to leave them behind. We leave a lot of people behind. In How to Manage a Small Law Firm we have two extremes in our employees. We’ve got people who have been with us since the beginning and the reason people stay with us is because they’re growing. People, who grow, grow with us. Then we have other extreme, a revolving door of people we’ve churned out.
