Q: We have to fire clients at times, so what do you do about your less than C clients that you fire that end up putting out a bad review for you? How do you go about amending that?
A: Amending it is a very different thing from addressing it. You really can’t do anything about amending an online review yourself. It depends on what site they post that review on, some sites like Ripoffreport.com, you can’t, and even they can’t amend a review on Ripoffreport.com. They could post a fraudulent review, admit it’s fraudulent, and still, they will never take it down. The strategy behind that is to bury that review with all of the great reviews that you have. The other thing in terms of how to address it, it’s really the same strategies I’ve mentioned to you: Talk to the client, pick up the phone and call them. They might not love you, but if you can ask them to amend that review, they might not hate you either.
