Q: We sell just drafting your initial paperwork: Dissolution of marriage, petition, and financial affidavit, all of the initial documents. Then they file, they’re on their own, and inevitably eighty-five percent of them come back to us because they realize it’s much hard than it would be. My question is I’m still doing too much in that first limited fixed sale of just the document draft. I don’t really need to be involved and I can’t really see how I can myself get out of that. I’m too much involved in the sale and the production.
A: Hire someone better than you.
Q: We have a senior associate who is better than me but he’s fully booked with other files.
A: That means you’re making a lot profit on that senior associate.
Q: Yeah
A: Hire another one. If you pay someone $75,000 a year and they produce $75,000 of profit for you, wouldn’t life be grand if you had ten people and every one of them was producing a $75,000 profit for you?
