For 20 years I was a solo freelance attorney. I loved it. I was very successful. In March I had a conversation with RJon and decided to launch Now Counsel Network but I didn’t really start implementing that until after the April LQM on decision making. Between April 18th and June 8th when I launched, I developed standard procedures for many of the aspects of my new business including recruiting and new client intake. I’ve recruited a total of 14 freelance attorneys, 9 before launch and 5 more since then. I’ve hired vendors to help in the launch instead of trying to do everything myself. I could’ve done more myself but I decided it wasn’t the highest and best use of my time. As a result of what I learned at the LQM I went from spending close to 100% of my time working in my business to spending 80% of my time working on my business.
