I joined one year ago, May after 24 years of practice. I’ve been on my own for about 15 years. In 2012, 2013 and 2014 I grossed $191,000 every single year. The first advice I took was to hire a bookkeeper. I actually hired a CPA. 2015 we grossed $385,000 and I got a tax refund for first time in 30 years. We have hired 2 associates in the last year. I now have 2 paralegals working with us. We’ve opened a second office in Plano. Overcoming the terror barriers of joining when I didn’t really think I could afford it has changed the way we do business. The only other thing I would say that I’m very excited about is after 25 years in practice I paid off my student loans.
