I attended a How to Manage a Small Law Firm CLE program in Philadelphia, in July of 2011. It was the best CLE program that I’ve been to, primarily because it was about something I so rarely see CLE programs about which is so sorely needed which is How to Manage a Small Law Firm. I was really struggling for the second time trying to make my law firm work and realizing that I really needed help with that and it didn’t matter what I knew about the law if I didn’t know how to serve the clients. One of the things that made it such a valuable CLE to me was that the approach was designed all around the ethical obligations and how to do that in a way that’s systematic and predictable and how to give better service to clients and exceed the ethical rules. And the fact that it was so founded in ethical rules made it not only a very valuable CLE for me but also extremely provided and just made me a better lawyer.
